I will be writing my essay on my family and health problems that Ive undergone over the past few years

Please tell me my chances...
Thanks!

reject

good xtra currics though... SAT/ GPA is wayyyy too low

im also applyin but i've got 2080 SAT, more AP's honors, but not as great Xtra currics but I'm still really worried about my chances.

sats VERY VERY low, and your gpa is very low as well.....

HOWEVER, since you have reasons, maybe they'll let it slide...but i dunno about the sat part..

good ECs, if you can make your essay EXTREMELY well written, i'd say you have a good chance...

good luck!

Your GPA is a little low... Have you considered taking the ACT? You might do a little better on it and increase your chances.

Hmm, my SAT scores weren't phenomenal and my EC's weren't really as depthful as yours... But you may wanna work on that score a bit. I'm sure if you can explain your GPA properly, then they will definitely consider you. If colleges aren't lying to you, then the SAT is far from the most important thing in your application.

your extracurriculars are pretty impressive. the thing is, unlike SAT or GPA, what you do on your application is really the measure of its worth. for SAT and GPA you just get them and then thats it. now you have to make something of your extracurriculars.

geez! those things are amazing. i didnt come close to that kind of involvement. on the caltech forum, there was a girl who wanted to apply at your age, and she was recommended by a knowledgeable fellow from caltech to wait a year. i dont know if thats possible for you. i guess if you skipped a grade before high school you are kinda stuck.

gpa/rank is considered heavily by rice. what is your rank?

ah our school doesnt rank, but with my midyear senior grades so far, i prolly pulled it up to a 3.4/3.45 ish out of 4.0

any other comments?

I am a high school junior, looking for summer research program in Rutgers as I live close to the campus. I see that you participated in research program at Rutgers. Would you please guide me through how to get started?
