I'm applying as a music performance major to:
UConn
Ithaca College
Northeastern University
American University
Boston University
Boston College
New York University
Yale University>>>My mom is coercing me into this one, even though I know I don't stand up to the other applicants.

You look like a fairly competitive applicant at every school except Yale. You have a good chance everywhere except there. I think NYU may be a little shaky, but I wish you the best of luck regardless.

Yale....hahaha... Yes, I know. But it was basically my one condition to applying everywhere else; I had to apply to Yale as well. I know I probably have less than a 1% chance of being accepted there. :D

UConn- match
Ithaca College- match
Northeastern University - match
American University- match
Boston University-match? maybe
Boston College-- match
New York University- match/ reach
Yale University- REACh

For all of those except Yale, your audition is going to be the determining factor.Your stats are definitely in the necessary region to be considered by the music schools at all those schools, and probably the liberal arts programs as well. Good luck in January, February, and March... what fun months those will be...
(actually, I'm looking forward to some of the travel, but auditions---)

In terms of stats, sure, but I don't know how you play, so it's hard to say. My guess would be that UConn definitely is, but Ithaca might be a bit more selective. How (honestly-- modesty doesn't help an assessment) would you describe your playing?
