Chances?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm a rising junior at a prominent high school in NJ. My school doesn't rank, but I think I would be in the top 25%. My GPA is 3.85 UW.</p>

<p>SAT scores: (Judging from my ability and practice tests. I haven't taken them yet)
750 Math 720 Writing 700 CR</p>

<p>SAT II:
Will take US History, Chem, & Math Level II
Bio: 710</p>

<p>Junior year schedule:</p>

<p>AP Calc AB
AP Statistics
AP Chemistry
AP US History
Semester courses for Language Arts (both honors)
Latin II</p>

<p>Extracurricular:</p>

<p>Editor In Chief for the School Yearbook
Red Cross Club
Relay for Life Club
Active Girl Scout(I am working towards my Presidential Service Award and also am the assistant leader for my mother's troop)</p>

<p>Volunteer:
Two learning centers
Two arts centers
Have over 200+ volunteer hours from just over the past two summers</p>

<p>Sports:
Play tennis and golf...
looking to join women's golf team next year, and will continue in college. (I just started this year, so stats are not available)</p>

<p>I will also have strong teacher and guidance counselor recommendations.</p>

<p>Your stats look really good–just make sure to spend time on the essays, as they’re an important part of the application. (Also, the Wellesley golf coach is really nice. I walk her dog during the school year.)</p>

<p>I always feel weird posting after MarieCC1 because I feel like I always agree with her… hahah…</p>

<p>Anyway. Yeah, your stats look pretty good. However, I’ve known people who have stats around yours and still got waitlisted/rejected at Wellesley. Make sure your LORs and essays stand out. And if it’s not too late, make sure you obtain leadership positions in your extracurricular activites your senior year. It’s one thing to be a part of a club. Another thing to be in charge of it. You look like a really well rounded person so I’m sure you’ll do fine :)</p>
