Chances?

IGCSE: 5A*s 3A's
A Level: (Predicted) 3As 1B
Weak ECs
International Applicant
Financial Aid Needed
SAT: 2250
SAT II- Math Level II: 750
Physics: 750
Major: Economics.

What are my chances?

Your scores are good, but not great by WUSTL’s standards. If your ECs are really not that strong and because you need finaid, I’d say that you gonna be rejected. Try to get much more involved this summer,do something extraordinary.

Oh okay. Thanks for responding!

I dont usually comment on chances, but I think this is something that should be noted. I think your chances are quite low.
International + financial need is often a killer for applicants.
Obviously it automatically means you are intelligible for a lot of the aid that is given out.
Sorry :(

:( If that is the case, I hope its only with Duke. Otherwise I’m doomed :O

There are schools that are need-blind for intls : Dartmouth, Amherst, HYP and MIT. But I don’t think you have that much of a chance there. So, I suggest looking at some top-20 liberal arts colleges that have a lot of aid for intls such as Colby, Grinell, etc. They are great schools, and if you improve your ECs over the summer, you do stand a great chance of being admitted with aid into one of them. I don’t want to be too harsh, just want to help!

You may also look here [Schools Awarding International Financial Aid](Schools Awarding International Financial Aid) to see what amount of aid is given to international students.

Thanks for the support man. Really appreciate it.

^^^I meant Washington St. Louis.

Your SAT score and grades are average for WUSTL… Bad ECs and the fact that you’re an aid-seeking international pretty much assures you’ll be rejected. Sadness…:(

:(…AH well. I’m not surprised.

Just curious, would it make a difference if I get perfect scores in the Sat and Sat II’s? :P

Also,
GPA: 3.75 uw
