Excellent Essays and Recommendations, ones I worked very hard on.

Dear cocacolatesla : The more I read from this abbreviated profile, the more I became concerned. Are your best SAT II scores in the low 600 range? These are supposed to be the subject areas that you want to showcase to an admissions counselor. The 2010 SAT I score is just a midpoint score for the entire application pool and might not be a successful number for this year’s early application pool.

To be honest, your activities are very thin. There are limited leadership roles, no music, no volunteerism or community engagement. Impact statements are limited. Perhaps these are highlighted in your essays, but the brevity here makes it very difficult to draw any conclusions.

How did you answer the “Why BC?” question?

At this point, I would have recommended that this profile be held for the regular decision pool. Right now, this profile is feeling like at best a deferral from the Early Admissions pool - hopefully, we have this wrong.

I didn’t mention volunteerism in this, but I do have 80+ hours of volunteerism. Not sure why you mentioned music; my focus on visual arts, which was the subject of my essay, should be interchangeable with music.

As for the SAT: My SAT II’s were waived because of a mix-up with Common App. I know the 2010 is low, but it is average for BC.

I answered the question on the supplement about the book for Convocation, and I talked about To Kill a Mockingbird as a reminder not to change yourself because of other’s opinions.

Thank you for the advice, I agree with most of what you said.
