Chances?

<p>Hello, I am from VA and it has always been my dream to attend Boston college </p>

<p>Sat: M - 770 CR - 800 W - 620 (2190 composite) </p>

<p>Gpa: UW - 3.8 W - 4.3 (up until junior year) Subject to fall a little after first semester of senior year </p>

<p>Senior year courseload: ap calc, ap stats, ap english, ap gov, ap world history, ap environmental science, spanish 4 </p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Captain of tennis team, Asian club president, church praise team leader, I work at Maggie Moos ice cream shop, 2 honor societies, basketball team for 2 years, korean school teacher’s assistant, other minor clubs, 200+ hours of community service. </p>

<p>An honest chance would be much appreciated!</p>

<p>I agree- I really think that the essays can help quite a bit, as will your letters of recommendation. Your stats are impressive.</p>

<p>I worked hard on them, as for quality I honestly can’t judge heh. As for the recommendations, i think my teachers did a pretty good job on them. Does Boston College emphasize SAT over GPA or vice versa? and do you think my terrible writing score will greatly decrease my chances of being accepted?</p>

<p>California, I don’t think that the writing score will really have much effect on your chances of admission. I would also try to look up the common data set of Boston College to see what they consider to be the most important factors for admission. I can’t really remember off the top of my head where test scores stand in relation to other factors</p>
