Chances??

<p>All right, I just recently submitted my applications to colleges and I'm feeling a little nervous. I recently posted this thread on a different forum, but I want to post it here too.</p>

<p>Black Male from Nigeria but raised in New Jersey (since only a couple months old)
Parents never went to college (they were born and raised in Nigeria)
SAT: 1850 (Not going to send it)
GPA: above a 4.0 weighted and around 3.95-4.0 unweighted
Other than 4APs, I've been taking all honors classes since 9th grade</p>

<p>---Captain of my Varsity football team: All-state football player, several 1st team awards(about 5) and a coaches association trophie (If it matters, this was my first organized sport that I began playing my freshman year)</p>

<p>---Received Highest Honors for 4 years because of my GPA </p>

<p>---President of my senior class and active member of the student body council

---National Spanish Honors Society recognition, award, and member</p>

<p>---President of the Spanish Club (If it matters, Spanish was my first foreign language subject at an academic institution because my elementary school did not have foreign language subjects)</p>

<p>---President and Coordinator of the Students Against Destructive Decisions at my high school (If it matters, I was in this club since 9th grade)</p>

<p>---Coordinator of an alumni association to aid high school students in the college admission process</p>

<p>According to my teachers, they wrote excellent recommendations for me (1 of my recommendations came from my coach who was also my English teacher, and the other came from my physics teacher who significantly liked my work ethic and inputs in class)</p>

<p>My essays were reviewed by a couple of individuals. All of them, especially my AP English teacher said it was phenomenal.</p>

<p>You are a very strong candidate. The only way you would not be accepted is if they sense that you are not seriously interested in Holy Cross. Be sure to take an official tour and interview to demonstrate sincere interest in the school and you will definitely get in.</p>
