Chances

Hey I go to a private catholic high school as a sophomore and was just wondering what my chances were at the following colleges(all for computer engineering):

-Drexel University
-Carnegie Mellon
-Penn State
-Georgia Tech
-If you could name some other good engineering colleges, please do so :)

Stats:

PSATs: 59(M) 53(V) 52 Writing (Yea I bombed them, but I'm pretty sure I can pick them up. I wasas half asleep and I'm also going to take an SAT course or two to improve them.)

GPA: 96/97ish
Rank: Was 1 first semester freshman year, then 3 second. Expecting 2 or 1 this semester.
ECs: Key Club(9) Newspaper(10) Intermural Football(9) Probably going to do a sport or something soon. Also had a web development/hosting business during my freshman year if that counts.

Awards:
First Honors (9,10 probably)
Who's Who Among American High School Students
Scholarship toward my high school.

Pretty much it. I really want to get into CMU though. If someone could inform me on how to greatly improve my chances at CMU I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

what is engineering exactly? what do they do. thanks.

im not quite sure about the other schools, but i know CMU and Georgia Tech are big on engineering and very competitive. With your current stats, if you pick up the SAT's, you should be in good shape. Also, are you taking aps?

I'm going to take quite a few APs coming up next year/senior year. Looking into AP Calculus definitely and a few other maths/sciences.

Does it help if I get 6 years of HS math done before college? I'm almost done 3 already.

Also have had all honors classes for freshman/sophomore year.

come back when you know your sat scores
