Chances

I applied to LSA in early October and received a letter requesting my semester grades in November. I sent in my semester grades about 3 weeks ago and they're very good, considering that my Umich GPA for sophmore and junior years was a 3.0. My grades were 5 A's and 1 B in four AP classes (AP Latin, AP English, AP Enviromental Science, AP Calculus) and 2 honor classes (3.83 UW GPA/3.80 Umich GPA). I also sent an impassioned letter, showing my desire to attend if accepted. Do you think I'll get in?

sounds like you've got a pretty good shot, ccrunner. I would bet you'll be hearing from Umich soon.

Just curious CCRunner123, were you defferred and if you weren't deferred what was it called when they asked for your semester grades? Btw, good luck!

I actually received a letter that wasn't a deferral. It simply asked me for my semester grades and never even mentioned the word deferral. I called the admissions office up and they told me that no decision had been reached and once they saw my grades, they'd make a decision.
