School that I am looking into-
Binghamton University
NYU
Stony Brook University
Penn State University
Cornell University
Boston University

Please tell me any other schools that I should look into to. I want to major in biochemistry or pre-medical studies.

i also forgot to mention that my school doesn't offer any ap classes and that i am independently taking them. i am taking ap chem, us history and psychology

We really cant tell you anything without your SAT's and SAT II's. But your rank/gpa is looking competitive.

if you get over a 2000-2100, then i would say that your list is weak and that you should apply to more top level schools.

because if you got stuck at binghampton or stony brook, that would suck

the only bad thing about my transcript is that i did very bad on one of the nys regents. it was a last year when nearly 70 something percent of the students who took it failed...

whats wrong with bing and stony>?

anyone else have comments?

bing has no social life and stony is a commuter school

Take the SATs and post your scores. Until you do, there's not much to talk about.

"the only bad thing about my transcript is that i did very bad on one of the nys regents. it was a last year when nearly 70 something percent of the students who took it failed..."

colleges dont see what you scored on your regents. they just see that you passed them all, as its the only way to get your high school diploma.

for your ec's, do you hold any significant positions?

get 2100-2200 minimum and you have a solid shot at the ivies. maybe boost your GPA to get a higher rank. Being Val or Sal really looks nice. Being no.3 is great but being val or sal looks nicer on the apps. also, check out the acceptance rates for them - ie. 46% for V's at Penn.

bingcold- i was secretary for student governement. i am president of the science club and layout editor for the newspaper.

PSAT scores, yet?
