<p>Hello! I am a high school senior preparing to apply for college! I've been using CC as a resource for a long time, but have never actually made an account. This is my first post! I see that CC is a great website, though some of the student stats are quite intimidating! Nevertheless, I'd be a grateful guy if someone could chance me for MIT, UC Berkeley and Stanford!</p>
<p>(I live in Los Angeles and attend a public school, if any of that matters)</p>
<p>Grades: All As, have taken 13 APs including senior year APs

SAT I Score: 2270 (760 math <em>woops</em>, 780 writing, 730 CR)
SAT II Scores: 800 Math II, 760 Bio E, 780 Spanish, planning on taking Chem
EC list!:
-Avid participant in the AMC math competitions
Qualified for AIME in 10th and 11th grade, qualified for USAJMO in 10th grade</p>
<p>-President of Salsa Club
Started dancing in 10th grade, loved it!
Choreographer for our dances at Talent Show and other school events
I attend salsa events around my neighborhood often
I was going to join an LA dance team last year (passed the auditions), but had to drop because it would have caused my schedule to collapse (everyone else on the team was at least 24 years old)</p>
<p>-Captain of the Science Bowl Team
Started in 9th grade
Captain in 11th and 12th grade
Filled in for coach last year, since our coach inexplicably disappeared and moved to Michigan</p>
<p>-Pianist
I've been playing for a looonng time
However, didn't really start playing <em>well</em> until a year and a half ago, when I switched to a new teacher, who promptly told me that I sucked.
Since then, I've been competing in competitions, to the point that I'll be performing at Carnegie in November.</p>
<p>-Cross Country, Varsity 10th-12th grade, Captain 12th grade. I like running, but I'm not that good at it.</p>
<p>-Scholastic Art and Writing Awards: Gold Medalist in 11th grade</p>
<p>-China California Heart Watch Internship
Along with several college interns, I helped run free clinics for rural Chinese farmers in the Yunnan province of China.
Admittedly, I could only go because my parents provided for the expenses.
However, it was very hard work! I logged around 80 hours a week of work.
Participated for 2 and a half weeks in the summers of both 2011 and 2013.</p>
<p>-COSMOS Summer Science Program participant during the summer of 2012.
UC Irvine Branch, Chemistry group.
Chosen as the student speaker for the closing ceremony.
Chosen as an alumnus representative to the 2013 COMOS Nobel Laureate dinner.</p>
