Chances?

Hi all,

I've been worried about what type of colleges to look for and what kind of colleges I can get into.

Stats:
GPA: 3.69
SAT: 680 reading, 600 math, 630 writing
Volunteer: 300 hours
EC: I don't like giving away personal info, but I have strong english and science/math ECs. I'm more of an english person, weaker in math/science grades at school.

If anyone knows anything about the following colleges, please, I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me insight about my chances and the overall atmosphere of the school, and whether I would fit in. I like big cities but I think I'm ok with small schools as well. I'm willing to work hard but I don't want the academic environment to be 100% of the school. Also what are the things students do for fun around the city? Thanks a lot!

Schools: Bucknell, Franklin and Marhshall, Kalamazoo, Occidental, Reed

Thanks again!

Reed: Reach
F&M: High match
Kalamazoo: Safety
Bucknell: Reach
Occidental College: Reach

I would add Knox and I’d remove Bucknell (very scienc-y w/engineering). For a reach in writing/English, try Hamilton or Kenyon. If you want a school that’s in a city, check out Macalester (reach), Goucher (match) or St Mary’s of California (safety); Simmons, Mills, and Agnes Scott if you’re a girl; for science, Dickinson, Grinnell, St Olaf; if you want quirky, Hendrix or Beloit.

Reed is very intellectual (with a bit of a deserved stoner rep); Bucknell is Greek and rather pre-professional; Occidental is liberal and politically active.
