Chances?

So I've applies to around 16 schools...gotten into SLU, Loyola, University of Illinois, and University of Minnesota Twin Cities, but deferred from UMich EA...

My major is biochemistry and I'm looking for a premed track. My top choices are Columbia and Duke. I've also applies to Harvard and Stanford (you never know), UCLA, UC Berkeley, Case Western, NYU, WashU, and Northwestern.

Stats:

ACT = 34
GPA = 4.45W (before first semester senior year) 4.48 (after first semester)
3.8 UW
From what people have told me, I have pretty strong essays. (I should mention I lived in a communist country)
Average EC's

Could you give us more info such as more detail about ec’s/awawrds? But judging from what you have:

Harvard: High reach
Stanford: High reach
Columbia: reach
duke: reach/low reach
uc berkeley: low reach
nyu: low reach/high match
All the other ones besides case western are high matches/matches

good luck!

GPA is on the lower side (most applicants have a 3.9-4.0 UW), but should be fine, ACT is good, but “average” ECs just won’t cut it. You got deferred from UMich, which has a higher acceptance rate than the rest of these, so obviously I’m going to say they’re reaches (except Case Western and NYU).
