well your SAT is sorta low and GPA isnt great either. srry but just being truthful. However, your ECs seem terrific. You do have a shot. Did you take any sat2s. also, how are your breakdowns for the SAT, you want to have a high math and verbal score since writing is not really important this year. good luck.

A friend of mine had stats almost identical to your own, and he got in. Though that is granted with the fact that he also did pre-college at JHU.

From what it seems, you can get in with average SAT scores, but not with an average GPA. 3.5 unweighted isn't very good. Still anything can happen.

yeah, i have a 3.5 unweighted currently, and 1750 on my SATs. but crazy ECs like working with the superintendent, sports, ladeedahblah. its a slim shot. but i applied because I really want to major in international health, and what better place than johns hopkins? perhaps they will see in us that we really want to make a difference. don't give up hope!!!

i hope you guys get in....and we can all meet up and frolick...ha

does anyone know what your decision will be? nobody can really tell you what your decision will be...or even guess at it. one of my fav. things about jhu is that they have a holistic process. so yes, you could possibly get in. anyway, good luck! only a few more days (hopefully)...fingers crossed. =)

from hopkins insider...
"As you can see, this is a process (conversation) that factors everything in. It is comprehensive it is holistic it is unique and it is the best way for us to evaluate each and every individual applicant. The decisions we make do not blindly reflect average GPAs / SATs / etc., but rather mirror the Admissions Committees determination of which students will best fit the promise of Johns Hopkins University. It is highly selective, it is complicated, but in the end it is a successful way of analyzing an overwhelmingly impressive pool of applicants."
