Chances?

Hello,

The college search has begun and I would really like to see where I stand when I apply to RPI :)

UW GPA: 3.70

SAT I: 2060
I will be taking this again during the fall

SAT II Chemistry: 690
SAT II Math: 710

My school is one of the top in the nation and it is very rigorous. APs are not offered during sophomore or freshman year.

Junior Year (APs):
AP Chemistry
AP Language and Composition
Senior Year (APs):
AP Stats.
AP Japanese
AP Economics

Extra:
Class president freshman year
3 years of school water polo
JV Water Polo Captain (sophomore)
Varsity Water Polo Captain (junior)
10 years of piano
11 years of swimming (did not do school team)
> Science Olympiad President (junior)
> Started the club at school (ranked 14th in state)
Science Olympiad Vice President (senior)
Heavily involved in church
Leader (junior and senior)

Alumnae Connections:
Father -- 1983 alumni.
Still heavily invested in RPI (including donating research equipment)

Prospective major: Undeclared Science (leaning towards biochem or chemistry)
Race: Asian
Gender: Female

This helps lots lots lots! Please be honest! Thank you.

Oh and I forgot:

Lifeguarding
One year (mainly summers)
Swim Coaching
Three years (mainly summers)

Interning at a nanotech. company
Doing research project over the summer of 2014 at the nanotech. company.

Seems like an easy in. With those numbers you should be accepted at most schools.

@deerpathdave, thank you!

@absotootly‌ Yeah, I definitely think the odds are in your favor. If you look at their GPA, SAT, ACT Graph it puts you in a comfortable sea of green and blue (acceptance/acceptance did not attend).

Thank you @buzat12‌ !

Are you a student at RPI?

No, no. I’m applying just like you @absotootly‌

@buzat12‌ are you applying ED or RD?

If you are interested in nanotechnology, you should check out SUNY Polytechnic (College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering) in Albany

I’m a current student at RPI and I’m nearly 100% sure you’ll get in.

Hope to see you next year!
