I'll have great recs and great essays

You are definitely academically qualified. Your test scores/grades/course load is good enough. And you do have some stand out ECs. I think it will come down to essays. ND uses it’s supplemental essays to assess your fit with the school. I would recommend writing all 5 then choosing your favorite 3. Make sure they all touch on different aspects of who you are and all demonstrate what you will bring to the university. I would say you have a solid shot. If you have questions feel free to PM me.

You are in for sure! I had a friend who got to Notre Dame and he was academically as good as you. Im 100% sure you’re in

@osb123 Don’t listen to @WaseeZafar . Just because he/she knew one person who got in who was similar (and only academically similar) does not mean you will get in by any means. I know people who were better academically and did not get in. This does not mean you don’t have a good shot though.

@picklechicken37‌ I personally think she is in for sure, she is in the high percentile with her scores for Notre Dame. And her ECs are good. I dont see any reason why they wouldnt take her. All that matters now is her essay and letters of recommendation

Nobody is a shoe in, but it seems like you have a very good shot. Best of luck.

Sorry in advance for the wall of text.

I agree with happy1: For top 20 schools, there’s no such thing as a definite yes. A quote I heard about Notre dame is that 50% of students that fit in the mid 50 percentile will be denied. While this seems harsh, Brown University will deny more valedictorians that it will accept freshman, and every other school has facts that show just how much of a crapshoot the whole college process is. How can you stand out? show them that you care. If it’s within your family’s finances, try and visit and meet with your region’s admission councilor. If it’s not, send them an email about trying to meet them in person after they do a visit near by. Tell them that Notre Dame is your first choice school, and tell them why. While you stand a good chance of getting in right now, that’s wholly dependent on how much effort you put into your communications with ND. I’m going to be a freshman at ND next year, but I was wait listed and denied at schools I had considered safeties because i displayed zero interest. If you have any other questions, you can send me a pm. Good luck!
