Also, I received the Vanderbilt Alumni Book Award and have been very involved with Student Council. I also do NHS, beta club, 4 years of varsity tennis, youth leadership program, church acolyte.
My current ACT is a 29, but I am taking it again and hoping to get a 32.
What are my chances? Should I apply ED II or RD? Thanks in advance.

If you really want to get in, I would go ED.

Vandy is now a reach for almost everyone.
-From SC–good, less competitive state
-Major good–they need to fill classes other than engineers and pre-med
-Grades–good
-ACT–you are correct to try for 32+. With a 29 you would need to bring something else to campus that Vanderbilt wants.
-EC’s, they like to see leadership and community service. They like to see angulated students who have excelled in an EC or the well rounded student who turns everything they touch into gold. It’s more about what you did in your EC than what EC you were involved with.
-ED is the way to go IF Vandy is your first choice AND the finances work for you and your family.
