Chances?

I've asked for chances in the past and they were very helpful. I've changed some of my schools since then, so I was hoping to receive more insight?

Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Caucasian
GPA (weighted): 3.74, GPA (UW): 3.44?
ACT Composite: 32
ACT English: 36
ACT Math: 30
ACT Reading: 32
ACT Science: 32
I have a positive trend in GPA. Started from the bottom now we're here.

Applying as an Economics major, BS where available, general otherwise.

High school is highly respected and one of the top in the state. I believe its in the top 15 schools in the state but I could be making this up completely. Its way up there, though. High school is private. No ranks.

Applying for financial aid everywhere.

AP Classes/Scores:
AP Economics - 4
AP Psychology - 4
AP Composition - 2 (not sending)
AP Art History
AP Biology

Other Information:
I'm gay. Usually not something I indicated in my apps unless there were LGBT related activites in the extra-curricular section.

Two letters of rec from favorite teachers, another letter of rec from school GC. Nothing too special or exciting.

Colleges of consideration:
University of Rochester (RD) - 1st Choice
Case Western Reserve University (EA)
Fordham University (EA)
Purdue University (EA) - Probably my 2nd Choice
Michigan State University (RD)
Loyola University Chicago (EA)
Grand Valley State University (EA) - Accepted

Rochester: High match
Case Western: Match
Fordham: Low match/Match
Purdue: Low match
MSU: Safety
Loyola Chicago: Safety

I added some more schools to my list that I think would be matches/reaches for me. I didn’t want to flood the boards and start a new thread, so I thought that I would just post them here.

I’ve taken Fordham off of my list. I’m just not interested in it enough to apply. I, however, would also like to know my chances at the below schools. All of the other schools above are ones that I’m still applying to (or already have applied to.) Rochester is still my first choice. It’s very expensive though, so I figured I needed to broaden my list of schools so that I can still go to a good school for an affordable amount if Rochester falls through.

BTW, if there was confusion, 3.74 is W, and 3.44 is UW. It looks a little confusing up there. o3o

Brandeis
Grinnell
Miami Ohio
New York University
Rensselaer (also - any word on the caliber of the econ program at this school?)
U Miami
UCLA

NYU is unlikely to provide more financial aid than URochester, although it’s a great school for a gay guy.
I don’t think Miami-Ohio fits with what you’ve given in terms of criteria, but you’d probably get some merit. Remove UCLA since it’ll be 55K, no financial aid beside the 5.5K federal loan.
Brandeis and Grinnell are both good picks.
