Hey guys,

Just got my LSAT score…. So…

LSAT:163
GPA:3.65, UCLA
URM (Mexican/Black)
3 Years of AmeriCorps Service

I was dreaming of Harvard before I got my score, don't know how likely it is now … :/
What do you guys think my chances are at UCLA or any other schools ranked higher in the top 15?

Let me know!
:D

retake and try to at least score a 165

Retaking for 165+ is obviously correct in this case.

Great thanks guys.
Is that suggestion in regards to most of the top 15?
What would you say for UCLA?

Plug your numbers in here and take a look. Getting that LSAT up just a few points makes a tremendous difference. Could be the difference between full freight and a full ride, which would make your couple months studying the best paid of your life.

Ok… Two more questions!! lol

In keeping this current LSAT score, I would most likely end up submitting all my apps around November 15th.

In retaking the LSAT, I will have to wait till the end of December to submit my apps? Is this time difference significant?
Would it be best to apply with the first score while indicating I am re-taking?

Also, I will have one month to study for the retake just for context.

Take a year off. Law school isn’t going anywhere. Better to do it right than quite literally pay for doing it wrong.

You will not break the top 15 even as a URM male. You will get accepted to schools, but probably with no money. Use the next 6 weeks, study your butt off and break a 165 then blanket the whole t-14 to see what sticks. a 165 will also probably net you some fee waivers.
