Honest idea for my chances?

In state you are in good shape. Out of state will be an uphill battle.

Sadly I’m out of state
Is there a particular reason it’s harder for out of state students?

Purely a numbers game. Clemson is hot right now…they have to limit out of state students. I think its somewhere around 30% of student acceptances are from out of state. With a large pool, and a limited number of spots, the bar is set higher. Don’t get discouraged. I have a freshman at another school that was accepted into the Bridge to Clemson program with similar numbers as yours. If you have time to take the ACT over, a 27 or 28 would certainly help. Besides that, make sure you visit and express interest.

Thanks I re took it October 25th now im just waiting for results

It’s a state college funded by the taxpayers of South Carolina - since they’re the ones paying taxes to fund the school, of course they should get more applicants into the school than out of staters who are not paying taxes to fund Clemson.

Your ACT score is on the low side but you do have a solid GPA and AP classes under your belt. You’ve definitely got a shot. Good luck!

I was accepted today! Wondering if any of you know how generous they are with financial aid out of state cost is pretty high

Congrats! D just got accepted today…also OOS, also hoping for some type of $$.
