Re-posting here to get feedback from UA students, alums, etc.

• Race: Caucasian
• Major: Computer Science
• GPA: 3.0 UW, 3.1 W
• Rank: 175/554
• ACT: 22 Comp, 24 E, 23 R, 22 S, 19 M, and 8/12 Writing

• Extracurriculars: None

• Awards: Honor Roll in 11th grade

• Senior Year Course Load: AP Literature and AP Statistics, that’s it.

Note: I chose not to do the quote essay and personal statement (they were both optional). Also, my grades have an upward trend: 2.5>2.7>3.5 and a 3.9/4.0, but they probably won’t see my senior grades.

The fact that you decided to write neither essays is something they will look down upon, and seeing that you don’t have any ECs and a low ACT score, I would say 50/50 chance you get in

Update: I just checked MyUA account and I was accepted.

Bear Down!

hey how did u find out? i applied for spring transfer and i still have not heard

@freshmankid I checked MyUA account. I believe they also send an email.

Congrats! UA is easy acceptance but CS major is no joke. Get ready for Calculus and CS classes. Reminder: sign up for housing ASAP or there will be nothing decent available. Even if nothing’s available now, continue to check the website - dorm spaces open up all the time.

@AnalMom, I’m in no shape to pay for housing at the moment.

I hope cheap, single dorms remain available for some time. [-O<

stugace: Love the emoticon! It’s a $200 non-refundable fee to reserve a spot. The dorms do fill up and at the beginning of the year there is a wait list, so don’t wait too long.
