Chances

What are my chances for WashU (ED) and UChicago(EA)?

SAT I: 1380 (M-720 V-660)
SAT II : Writing 760, Math IC 670, US History 610 (last test of the day)
GPA: 92
Rank: unranked
- One of the top public schools in the country.

My extracirriculars are weak, as I have devoted most of my time to music and work. I was a member of the Area All-State Orchestra and Band each year since 9th grade. I have participated in the school Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band since 9th grade. I was selected to participate in the Nassau-Suffolk Jazz Ensemble. Music has taken up a large portion of my time. Other than that, I have worked independently for a number of years, and worked consistently throughout Sophmore and Junior year every day from 3 - 9 pm (about 25 hr/wk). I am a member of both National Honor Society and National Music Honor Society, and was given the Eastman School of Music book award. My reccomendations should be very strong. Please assess my chances.

Actually your ECs are very strong. Colleges would much rather have a focused person than someone with a laundry list. I think you are in at both. I would advise taking one more SAT2 to get rid of the 610, otherwise great shot at those two. Also look to Northwestern ED, great music program

I forgot to mention...I was hoping that a 4 on the AP in US History would compensate for the 610 on the SATII. Am I correct in believing this? Also, what would be some other schools to look at, in case I am rejected/deferred.
