I’m a junior in high school. What are my chances of getting into CSUN, SJSU, SDSU, CSULB, SFSU, and CSULA?
I took the PSAT recently & got my results. My counselor told me if I added a zero to all 3 scores and added them up, I’d get an accurate result of what the actual SAT score would be. I calculated and got 1230.
My Academic/total Gpa: 2.92
10-12 Gpa: 3.0
I never got in to ap or hp classes, but I’m trying to for senior year.
I have 332 hours of community service.
I’m in key club and a leadership program.
Oh and does anyone know if these colleges look at your permanent record for mis behaving & stuff like that? Thanks.
SDSU/CSULB: Reach
SJSU: Low Reach/High Match (Depending upon Major)
CSUN/SFSU: Match
CSULA: Low Match
Repost at the end of Junior year with your SAT score and CSU GPA:

You will get a better chancing for these schools once you have all your Stats and yes if your transcript show some issues regarding academic integrity/disciplinary actions that will be a problem.
The CSUs you list all use the same simple formula to rank applicants for most majors. Simply multiply your CSU GPA by 800 and add your SAT. (just the math and reading) so - 2.92 CSU GPA and an SAT of 1260 would give you a CSU Index of 3596.
They use a modified GPA from grades 10 and 11 only. Yours could be higher or lower than 2.92. Read about it here:

My understanding of the CSU Index required to comfortably get into these CSUs - (note, some majors use different criteria)
SDSU 4100
CSULB: 3800
SJSU: varies widely Depending upon Major
CSUN 3600
/SFSU: 3100
CSULA: 2900
I’d suggest you’ve got yourself spread too thin. Drop some of the ECs and really focus on your grades this semester.
Good luck
