Job/Work Experience: Acting as CEO of self-started non-profit organization. No income

Summer Activities: Will be traveling to Alaska to help manage my organization.

Hooks: URM with high SATs, not from area where schools are, no one from my school has applied (at least not in the last 5 years) to Trinity

State (if domestic applicant): North Carolina
School Type: Private
Ethnicity: Hispanic
Gender: Male
Income: ~$150k

Weaknesses: GPA obviously. I’ve had a lot of social issues with moving between states and such. I know colleges don’t accept that as a valid excuse, but that’s the truth.

Essays: Have already began working on essays, hope to be amazing to make up for poor GPA

Reflection: Obviously my GPA is low for Trinity, but I feel that I can partially balance it out with my other strong attributes (SATs, ECs, essays, hooks) since Trinity so heavily promotes ‘holistic’ and diverse admissions. I will be applying ED1 2015

My money says you would get in early decision and u have a decent chance without it. My stats were 2270 SAT 780, 740 on Chemistry and Biology SAT II. 33 on ACT. 3.8 GPA, top 25 graduating from a class of around 800. So very similar other than GPA. I did not apply ED and they gave me a scholarship. So I feel like they would give you admission because a lot of our measurables are similar.

Trinity Colleges SATs are for the 25%-75% at about 580-680. Parents might be interested to know that is the equivalent to 500-620 when they went to school (they re-centered the SATs since we were young-but did not raise the top score-making a wider range of students look the same). TJNR has the 75% beat by about 80 points and is probably at the 75% for math. The GPA is at the mean for those attending Trinity. Seems like the student would be highly sought after by Trinity.
