You seem pretty similar to my friend except she was little higher in the scores (33 on ACT) and heavier on sports but you have more awards… My friend applied RD and got waitlisted. I would recommend applied ED because that’s where most of the applicants are accepted (bucknell even had ED2 which will give you a better chance than RD)
Hi @CTkid47!
I was accepted at Bucknell in the College of Engineering back in February, because I applied ED II. I plan on majoring in Chemical Engineering!
If you are set on the school, I definitely recommend apply ED I or II. It ups your chances a lot of being accepted! I talked with a lot of people that applied RD in an app called Quad (basically a group message app for certain college groups. Highly recommend it!) and a lot of them were waitlisted or denied.
I’m not sure of your ethnicity, but if you are something other than white that will certainly help your chances! I know the school is pushing for more diversity. I’m not sure if you know, but the school is pretty white.
As of your credentials, you certainly qualify to be a Bison! If wouldnt hurt to bring up your GPA a little bit though.
just a little tip when you write your college essay, do something unique! Write something that conveys who YOU are. Make it interesting. That what admission officers like!
I hope this helped! Feel free to PM me. I dont get on here often, but will check back soon!
'Ray Bucknell!
Nick
Also, the school’s pool of applicants is getting larger! Nearly 11,000 people applied to the school this year, the highest ever in the school’s history. Just another reason to apply ED!! Good luck on your college search. It’s stressful, but it’ll be over before you know it!
