Chances?

Could someone give me an idea of my chances? This college is really where I want to go. I have a 3.67 GPA (weighed), a 26 on my ACT, really strong letters of rec, a great Common App and a great supplement essay (about why I want to go to Bryn Mawr and how I can contribute to the community there), my extracurriculars are: International Club, Global Solidarity Club, Anti-Bullying Club, volunteer at the library and church, I have a part time job at The Children’s Place, and I might switch jobs to the local library during senior year. I also am a a member of Literacy Crew, which tutors underclassmen, and have been an active member of various choirs throughout high school, but these meet during the day. I’ve won the Merit Award for my junior year. I didn’t really have full “leadership” positions, and I worry my extracurriculars are slightly lacking. Oh, and I had a GREAT interview with an alumnae when I visited. I’ll be apply early decision 1. Responses, please?

It’s hard for me to chance you since there are so many factors, but here is one piece of advice: don’t send test scores. Bryn Mawr is test optional and while 26 isn’t bad, it’s below Bryn Mawr’s average for ACT scores.

Isn’t it better to send the score so they see it’s not TOO low? I’m afraid that if I don’t send them, they’ll think I got like a 20 or something.

No, if you do not send your scores, they assume nothing (Also, I do think that 26 is too low for Bryn Mawr - not that someone with a 26 couldn’t get in, but…yeah.). The fact that Bryn Mawr doesn’t consider scores means that they just don’t care. There is no point in speculating what your scores MIGHT be because they don’t care. If Bryn Mawr tried to speculate what score people who didn’t send scores in got, they’d just require scores.

There are many reasons not to send scores like…they don’t require it, so why waste $15, you feel like it doesn’t reflect your abilities, you just don’t feel like it, you didn’t take them, etc.
