I think you have a real good shot at Dartmouth. I don't know the ins and outs of admissions, but I would think a strong GPA and pretty decent test scores combined with the diversity you would bring to the campus would be looked upon favorably. However, I'm really not an expert.

stanmaster, I know some URMs at Williams with significantly lower scores. I don't think Dartmouth is that much more selective than Williams, so I'd say you have a good chance.

Scores aren't that low...32 ACT is great for Dartmouth. SAT IIs maybe below average, but not embarressingly so. An admissions counselor last summer told me most acceptees have SAT IIs in the high 600-low 700 range, so with 700, 660, 630, it's not that far off.
What type of karate do you do/what belt are you? Just curious, b/c I'm a red belt in Olympic style Tae Kwon Do.

dartmouth seems keenly interested in URMs. It's because they aren't as diverse as they'd like to be, so it'd be a big leg up for you.

i'm not sure about the scores. you don't want to seem obsessive about it and take it too many times; it's better to devote your time honing your interest. win some karate awards instead or something. but if u think u can improve a lot, it doesn't hurt to try.

highly doubt it! dartmouth says it only sends it out to 400-500 of the most exceptional students (in other words, students who are olympians or with 1500s and 2200+) so, hope u get in, but i doubt u'll get likely letter :( sorry. i didn't get one either :(
