I am also interviewing soon. I keep in touch with admissions.
I will most likely apply ED.

I’m no expert, but you seem like a strong candidate to me and a good fit for Oberlin. I know applications are stressful, but at this point, there’s no reason to obsess over things like rigor and what you should have taken but didn’t as a sophomore. Talk to your GC, check Naviance, apply to schools that will fit you. The rest will fall into place next year. These things do have a way of working out.

My D got into Oberlin with similar GPA, rigor and ACT although her ECs were much more artsy. Especially applying ED you have a good chance. No guarantees as it’s a very competitive college, but you do seem to be in the right range.

are u planning to apply ed or rd? as troyus points out, there are no guarantees but I think you have a very high probability of acceptance ed and high rd. By way of comparison, my eldest son received merit with a 3.6 (9 aps) and 2200 but chose another school. My middle child was admitted ED with a 3.2 and 2150. the 3.2 is a little deceiving as he had a rigorous course load and a very strong upward trend. He’s also a very fine writer and to some extent, we think he wrote his way into oberlin.

I think you’ll be right in the mix, good luck!

Very similar stats to my D who is at Oberlin and received merit scholarship. Obviously can’t say for sure but I think you’re in very good shape to be accepted!
