Hey everybody. I hate these threads as much as the next guy, and there’s really no point, but I need feedback anyways.
OOS student
Intended Major: Computer Science
Core Weighted GPA: 3.19 (Incredibly lower than the GPA that my high school calculates)
SAT Score: 1910 (CR: 690 M: 580 W: 640), taking again in November.
Good Essay
Pretty standard ECs, handful of clubs and a few varsity sports.
How do things look for me? If you need more information, please express that.

Is that your weighted GPA or unweighted? If it’s a weighted GPA then I think you are on the low side… Jump on the class of 2020 admissions thread to get a good look at who’s getting admitted and who is getting deferred
Yeah, unfortunately it’s my weighted. On my transcript, I have a 3.8 W, but recalculated I drop all the way to a 3.2. Sucks, I know.
With a great essay and those test scores, do you think that I still stand a chance?
You’re on the fence. GPA is low but SAT seems OK. I’m trying to figure out what a commensurate ACT score would be to your SAT. Mid range admission is 3.4-3.8 GPA and around a 24-28 ACT score. When did you apply?
OK I just looked and your SAT is similar to an ACT of 28 which is good. I think you are where you need to be from that standpoint but the GPA is low. I think it could go either way honestly BUT as crazy as it may seem you may have a better chance since you are OOS.
Yeah…I’d be paying full tuition. You’d think that would help.
