Chances?

Hello everyone,
I’m a current junior in high school who really wants to go to GT
So I was wondering if I was even able to get accepted.

Ethnicity: Asian
Sex: Male
State: Alabama
Intended Major: Mech/Chem/Elec Engineering (undecided)
Status: Permanent Residency (Green Card)
(I came here 8 years ago, keep that in mind please…)

Test
I’ve taken ACT. My composites (both normal and superscored) are not pretty, but I heard that GT superscores and only looks at the Math and English portion.
ACT Math: 35
ACT English: 30
ACT Writing: 29
Superscored Composite: 31

Classes
So far, I’ve gotten all As in all of my classes.
I’ve taken 4 AP so far… I’m in 2 of them right now

-AP PHYSE&M (current)
-AP CALC BC (current)
I will take 2 more in my senior year

My school also offers Engineering courses, so I am planning to finish the Engineering Academy.

I have taken a lot of Honors and PreAP classes including
-PreAP Algebra I&IIw/trig, PreAP Geometry, Honors Precal, PreAP English 9/10, PreAP Chemistry, and Calculus PreAP.

I am planning on Dual Enrolling in my senior year also.

I am planning on volunteering at local animal shelter. During the summer, I will look for internship opportunities. Otherwise, I’ll either take summer classes or volunteer.

Just apply . Asking random people on the internet who do not work for the GT Admissions office is not helpful to you. Look on the GT website under admissions, and make up your mind about whether you are “in the pack” or not.

There’s no reason to be rude to him. Obviously he cares, and we wants to know people’s opinions, and sometimes people have valuable information regarding their past experiences.

@amgeer I do not think @Coloradomama is being rude. She’s just simply telling it like it is. She also never mentioned if the OP cares or not. Relax friend. Quite frankly, I think the OP has a good shot. One thing you can perhaps is improve your test scores because you still have time for that.
