Chances?

To begin, I’m pretty sure Wake is a reach for me, I’m in love with the school but I was thinking about not applying because I know my chances aren’t as high as I’d like them to be, but I’d like a second (or third) opinion.

I’m very sure that my rec letters will be strong and definitely helpful, I’ve formed extremely strong bonds with those teachers who I asked and they know me and my potential.

I’m a pretty strong writer and I’m starting to work on my essays very soon so I’m confident in that as well, I have a lot to write about that I’m sure will enhance my application. I’ll be applying as a History and Political Science double major.

I’m also a legacy, my dad graduated in the 80’s.

Thanks!

anneNH, Everybody should have one or two (ok maybe three) reach schools, so send in an application to Wake. You will never know if you would be accepted without applying.

As I have said in other posts you need to get your GPA up as high as you can and try to take as many AP or similar type classes. I am sure your father is telling you to sign up for an interview (very important) and work hard on the Wake questions.

Good luck and Go Deacs.

Thank you! I’ve taken 3 AP classes so far, all junior year. Senior year I’m taking 4 AP classes, as well as a Syracuse U French course that’s through my school. I’m hoping to interview soon!

Make sure you sign up soon; the interview slots fill up fast.

Interview (in person if possible) and write good essays. Wake cares more about the subjective components of the application more than perhaps any other school. Your stats are fine.
