Chances?

I’m going into my senior year, but I was wondering exactly what my chances are of getting into Villanova? It’s one of the schools I’m most interested in.

  • 3.6 GPA ending of junior year
  • current AP English IV student
  • 1080 new SAT score (plan to retake in the fall)
  • haven’t taken ACT yet although I plan to
  • I have a lot of family as alumni members
  • 100 hours of volunteer experience in total by high school graduation
  • female (not sure if my gender is relevant but figure I’d throw it in there, Roman Catholic (currently attending a Roman Catholic high school), also LGBT
  • was 28 of 94 in class rank at the end of my junior year
  • plan to apply as an English major

Do I have a good chance? Does Villanova look at senior year grades as well?

Your GPA and current SAT score certainly won’t help you get in but they also don’t rule you out entirely. Try to increase your SAT and write good essays and I would say you have a chance.
