Hey guys so I have a 3.8 UGA GPA with a 1430 SAT (680R,750M) I’m planning on retaking the ACT. I have completed 12 AP classes. I have above average extracurriculars and I wanted to know my chances. If I manage to get a 34 or above on the ACT what are my chances?
that’s a high score for the SAT and a very good amount of AP classes. 34 on ACT is also super high so you should be fine. good luck!
Oh thanks! How about my GPA and number of APs? @_sfxl
Number of APs is also really high. GPA is average according to their website
Do you think you could look at my post and see my chances are for UGA?
You’re good for for UGA! See you in Athens
@_sfxl @ugabound2021 Are my stats good enough to have been admitted EA? The February round releases decisions of people who would have gotten in EA and I was wondering whether that would include me. And typo* 12 AP courses by graduation.
@aye123 What do you mean by February round? Like they’ll release decisions in February for the deferred EA people or…?
But also, I’m going to be honest, while your SAT score is really high, I don’t think you could have been admitted EA this year because your GPA seems to be too low for their EA requirements. That’s only because this year it was super competitive and they were a lot tougher on applicants. Most of my friends with a 3.9 gpa or lower (including myself) got deferred EA. The people that got in EA had like 3.94 gpas and above from what I’ve heard. Idk for sure though!
@_sfxl True. My GPA isn’t the best. I just hope my AP courseload, higher SAT and extracurriculars will carry me.
And I believe they release decisions for those who improved test scores after being deferred and also have would have gotten in EA anyways.
Oh okay, I didn’t know they did that. Do you know an exact date for when they release those decisions?
But also, even if you don’t get in February, I feel pretty confident that you’ll get in RD (when decisions come out late March). Good luck!
Thanks @_sfxl and btw I feel the same about you - ur stats are solid
