It is hard to go off of your GPA as I don’t know how you compare to your peers (are you top 10%, 25%, 50%?) – this will influence your chances. Also, I think your tutoring and teaching are really incredible, but you have to express these things in your app in the right way. A lot of your EC’s aren’t really clubs or stuff like that, so a lot lies in how you explain them.
HYP: reject
Columbia: reject
Penn: reject
Brown: waitlist/reject
Cornell: waitlist, and then it could go either way
Georgetown: waitlist/accept (legacy will help I think)
Boston College: accept
Vanderbilt: waitlist/accept
Tufts: waitlist/accept
Emory: accept
Haverford: waitlist/accept
Swarthmore: waitlist/reject
Villanova: accept
UMiami: accept
UMich: waitlist/accept
NYU: accept
These are just my thoughts, and of course you shouldn’t take much meaning from this. That said, I’d strongly suggest that you narrow down your list. For the most part, you listed the USNews Top 20, and if you were to apply to all of these schools you would have to expect many rejects. Also, the reason why I listed most of the Ivies as rejects is because it is pretty difficult to know. That said, I think you would get accepted to at least one. You should be confident with your stats but narrow down your list! And, I’d appreciate it if you could chance me back.
Thanks so much. Yeah, I’d say I’m at least in the top 20% of my class of approx 100. My school sends 10 people to Cornell each year (not inclusive of acceptances) and 6 to Penn, so I think I have a fighting chance at Cornell and probably Penn ED. Also, forgot to mention I’m national hispanic merit scholar.
You have a solid application but the way you frame your EC’s will probably end up being important. You’ve also listed a TON of schools- I would suggest that you try to narrow down where you’re looking to apply. That being said, some wild guesses-
