My letter of deferal from BU suggested sending sr year grades, i presume its to see if my junior year grades were an anomily or if i actually did mature after sophomore year. I think senior grades will help me but What can I do to help my chances besides sending a letter to admissions office?

please give suggestions for getting in from deferral list and asses chances of other schools. thanks

I doubt you are still looking on this thread, considering you posted this last year, but for what it's worth, here is my take on it.

At first, I was puzzled by your deferral from BU because your ECs, SATs, and curriculum indicated an easy acceptance from BU. I was thinking possible acceptance to schools like Notre Dame, Rice, and Ann Arbor. But when I read that you got b's and c's, I let out a long ahhhh.

Your grades are the most important thing they look at. THE MOST IMPORTANT. Everything else is secondary. A rank would help to put your grades into context, but since you don't have that stat available - well, no help there. You have an excellent shot at schools like well U of Pittsburgh. Schools that would appreciate someone with your intellect, but doesn't discriminate severely against lower than perfect grades.

Well, it's been long enough that I now know that, indeed, you have not looked at this post. What a shame, I thought I gave some sound advice.

Thanks for your advice. Sorry i didnt respond, I stopped checking the board after I was admitted. Thanks again.

Where were you admitted? My stats are very similar to yours, except I have a higher GPA.

Ok, I'm an idiot; this is in the UPitt section. lol

Congratulations! I knew you would.
