I'm a white male from Michigan, middle-class family, private and decently competitive high school.

W GPA: 4.036
UW GPA: 3.8ish
ACT: 32
SAT: 690R, 640M, 690W, 2020
No SATIIs yet, not sure if I should bother
Rank: about 15/200

Not much in the way of ECs, just a handful of community service hours and NHS

Looking for a school with good engineering program, but also a good all-around school in case that doesn't work out. Big to medium sized, not rural. East coast is OK, but I'd like to stay in the midwest or go out west.

My list as of now:
U Michigan- Ann Arbor
Northwestern
Notre Dame
Stanford
Cal- Berkeley
Purdue
Boston U
Arizona State

UCB: Reach (Engineering, out of state)

You're looking good at Michigan. You go to Catholic Central? I wouldn't think about other schools. Michigan is one of the best engineering schools in the country, it's close to you, and about 1/4 the price of the other schools. It's almost a guaranteed acceptance for you with your GPA and ACT, and it fits your description of a school perfectly.
