i only listed all those things to make up for the fact that my gpa sucks.

Any thoughts about admission and aid?

The activities will not make up for gpa, but your sats will help. I think that you have a good chance. I don't know about merit aid based upon talent, but based upon academic stats I would say no. My son got a very fair financial package from Ithaca this year, but he has chosen another school. You might apply for their leadership scholarship (seperate app and don't miss the deadline).

thanks...yea ithaca isnt my first choice, syracuse is, but thanks for the input anyway.

Good luck! If Syracuse doesn't work out, look closely at Ithaca. It is a really nice school. Also, when I said the aid was "very fair", I did not mean "not good". I meant that it was a reasonable package that made the school doable for our family. It was not going to be a bargain, and the school he is going to attend is costing us a little less, but it would have been doable if he decided that Ithaca was his first choice. Actually, Ithaca was his second choice, but only later in the application process.
