SATII: havent taken yet
EC's: pretty good

"EC's: pretty good"

Define pretty good.

if you're rich, I really hope you get rejected.
if you're poor, disregard my comment.
sry i had to say that.

lots of leadership, community service, jobs, leadership in my Jobs ive had...right now i have a job at the department of education and some clubs, sports(track and field)

nothing astonishing such as curing cancer or anything tho

The only reason you should apply is because you're Black. Otherwise I'd tell you to drop Harvard off your list along with every Ivy league. That SAT score is pretty low, man...

thanx for the replies...im not sure if im going t even apply tho cause it is probably a waste of an application fee

No, apply.

First of all, your chances of getting in a actually decent because of your URM status. You will raise your shot even further if you manage to raise that SAT score.

Secondly, you can always ask for a fee waiver.

hmm..my gpa is also a 3.7 only that i'm not black, i'm hispanic

^ response to that, both of you are URM, it's like.. =p let's just say it'll be a pretty big factor.

but yea, i suggest you pull your SAT's and rank up a little more. but i think you should definitely apply!

What's the process one goes through to get a fee waiver? Would my family have to send in some financial aid app saying how much we make or can we just ask for one?

just follow the form instructions. you can download the harvard application from the admissions website.

i'm pretty sure you need to send in both at the same time. they use all the forms requested on the financial aid instruction sheet to determine fee waiver. but remember to send in the fee waiver form along with everything.

i get my SAT scores on june 26 ahhhh...I only plan to apply to harvard if my sat is at least 720 on each section

me 2...im scared as shoooot

You can always call and pay the eight dollars or whatever to get your scores early. Heaven knows that's what I did!
