Chances?

I know my chances are slim, but I want to apply early decision to UF. I'm currently a junior.

ACT: 31
SAT: I was hoping I did better than this..
Reading: 670
Math: 660
Writing: 590 [hahahaha, I got a 6 on the essay because I froze up and wrote two paragraphs]

GPA: 3.66 weighted [but throughout my junior year I had over a 4.5 weighted, my last semester was a 4.7]

2 APs [Language and Literature], one DC [Biology] from 11th and 12th grade.
I have always taken honors and I was in a special excelerated program [OMEGA] from the time I was in 3rd grade up through 8th grade.

Community Service:
100+ hours at the local animal shelter [I want to be a vet. They had me in the lab mixing vaccines, learning how to do fecal samples and blood work, and I helped with euthanasias.]

ECs/Clubs: [only one!]
WCHS for 4 years, it's a TV Production class/club. I'm hoping to get officer next year. It's a good probability.

Jobs:
Since 3 days after I turned 16, I have always had a job. I usually work 30+ hours a week during the school year and 40+ over the summer.

Is there anything I can do to up my chances? I'm thinking about taking the SAT again, since I only took it once. But the next test date is after the Early Decision due date. Has anyone sent in test scores after they applied to UF?

I'm working as hard as I possibly can on my GPA, but my freshman year I bombed out due to being in a bad car accident in which my friend was killed and I had to continue to do police statements and such.

I forgot to mention that I am also interning at a veterinary office next year for 2 high school credits.

I have been wondering the same thing about the Early Decision and the SAT in October....

The last testing time for early decision at UF is October. See below:

Also, don't worry so much about your Freshman year of high school GPA, most schools want to see an upward trend (and you clearly have this). You should definitely write about what happened to you your Freshman year in your application essay. Write why/how it affected your schoolwork AND how you have "become a better person or matured" as a result in one of your two UF essays. The new UF application will be posted online starting July 1 but they usually have at least one essay question that you could work your explanation into.
