chances?

<p>I live in the city, and have wanted to go to NYU my whole life, I'm going to apply early but i'm not sure which school, CAS has the major i want but i'm considering applying to the school of education because it's easier to get into, and majoring in communications wouldn't be a big deal for me since I want to be a journalist?</p>

<p>--87.5 GPA (not so good, I know)
--2110 sats (700 math, 700 writing, 710 reading)
--710 on lit sat 2's, 640 on us history, taking math 1c in nov.
--I take all honors courses in english and history
--I'll have taken 5 AP's by the time I graduate (I was supposed to take 4 next year, but they canceled one so it's only 3 now)
--I'm a really strong humanities student, I'm not so good at math and math based sciences. I've gotten a C in chem and physics, and this term I got a D in trig but i'm trying to change it to a C, i'm also writing a letter of explanation for it
--Both my parents and my grandfather went to NYU
--I go to an elite NYC public school which has a rep for stellar academics</p>

<p>--I've been on policy debate for four years, and have attended policy debate camps every summer at Stanford and Dartmouth, I pretty much dedicate too many hours a week to this activity, i'm the Tournament Director Next Year
--I'm interning for Hillary Clinton this summer
--Intel Social Science Project
--Interned at a Neurology lab at Rockefeller University last summer
--President of Habitat for Humanity
--I've been on student council all 4 years, I've been on student senate for 4 years, student cabinet for 2, i'm heading the policy comittee next year, and maybe running for senior class president, but i'm not really sure.</p>
