<p>Ok, I know there is a "my chnaces" forum, but I figured I might get a more realistic response from those who have actually gotten into Cornell.</p>

<p>Academics:
I have taken pretty much the most rigorous courseload possible, and through it all I have gotten 4 Bs (one semester freshman science, one semester freshman english, both semesters biology in my sophomore year). As a note, there are seven periods in my school system. I have taken AP English III (Language), AP Computer Science I & II, AP Calculus BC, AP US History and AP Human Geography. Next year, I will take all APs: English IV (Lit), Gov & Eco, Stats, Physics II C, Chem and Music History.
GPA: 3.91/ 4.0 (UW); 5.65/ 6.0 (W)

<p>As a note, I go to one of the most competitive high schools in Texas - Clements. It is one of the schools ranked for having the highest AP ratios.</p>
<p>Extracurriulars & Awards:
ok... this is my major problem.
I'm in JETS, Peer Tutoring, NHS, FNHS, YES and MENSA.</p>
<p>For leadership, I just have coaching basketball for 2 years (probably will do it again this year).</p>
<p>For awards, I have the normal academic stuff (academic excellence aka honor roll, National Merit, AP Scholar) with the only outstanding thing being that I won two gold medals at the state science olympiad.</p>
<p>As a way to beef up my ECs, I am working as an intern at Rice University in the Mechanical Engineering department, and I will be going to Brown university for a summer program in math.</p>
