Please do not believe posts from other students. It is fair to say that your statistics are certainly in the range of students that are accepted to Yale. HOWEVER, they are also in the range of students that are rejected by Yale. My point here is that you have a "ticket" to play the game of Yale (and other elite college) admissions. There are NO guarantees, however, for any applicant (unless you are a long lost sibling of one of the Bush twins). To emphasize this more, please review the statistics of the kids on the SCEA and RD decisions threads. Take a look at the stats of the kids who DIDN'T get in. Then work your tail off on your application. Best of luck.

i agree with quiltguyu and i've told other students the same thing... and were talking about yale... which seems to be unpredictable... on the yale regular decision post .. there are people with high scores rejected and people with low scores accepeted.. but i think it's fair to say you do have a good chance of getting into yale.. so good luck

You have excellent statistics! Being Hispanic, first generation, midly in financial need, with high SAT and SATII scores, high grades, and significant involvement..your chances are good. I think that the dance makes you unique as well. Also, most of your activities have been rather consistent over the years...you keep to certain clubs over high school rather than swithching every year.

Where do you hail from exactly? I am going to Private message you about one of the admissions officers.
