Any other inputs are also good :p

I know I've put a chances thread on here, too, but you can't really predict what's gonna happen with a school who accepts less than 15% of their applicants.

That said I think you've got a decent shot, except that your GPA might drag you down against all those kids who've got 4.0s. It's not bad, though. I'm not saying that.

thank you for your input!! =)

Too little information. Depends on how hard the school is, class rank, strength of his schedule, etc. You can't draw too many conclusions from the GPA.

note the word "might"

I've learned saying anything as a definite on these boards is a bad idea, because there's always someone who's willing to disagree with something I say

Not disagreeing at all. Just adding a much needed clarification, because it is likely that the OP doesn't have a clue when a low GPA might or might not drag him down. Chill, dude.

Don't apply ED just increase chances!!! Honestly, you'd be better off at a school you actually liked, than one you just thought was prestigous. Of course some people often confuse the two. Anyway, ED is for die hard students who want the school more than anything in the world. It sounds as though you are a little hesistant. Don't do it unless you are 50000% sure. Go visit, stay the night, talk with your parents about it, all that jazz, but please don't do it just to get in, you'll find that it tends to make your choice of college feel more forced than if you'd had a choice.
