I feel like i forgot something, so tell me if i did. I'm pretty confident in my essay, sorta weak recs (both from teachers, one is stanford alum. will that help?). Signing up for an interview. Basically, I'm in one of the most competitive high schools in the us (75% asian, above 50% have 4.00+), and im hoping they see that.
I'm torn between early decision JHU or ED cornell, but after seeing some of the cornell stats, i feel like i shouldnt even bother. Help me out?
thanks

that gpa is grades 10-12. my freshman year sucked, probably brings it down to like 3.95 :( will i be affected?? )

do you live in cupertino?

definately do the interview; it might give you a huge boost if it goes really well. (& the essays too)

do those two well and you have a definite chance :)

btw, is the stanford alumni chin? hahaha

That means precisely dick. Having 50% above a 4.0 only means that you have crazy grade inflation and that you are in the bottom 50% for your school.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm just sick of all the kids going "my high school is soooo competitive."

angie: good guess, but its actually wong, haha. thanks for the advice.

to other guy: i see what you mean, i just wanted to know if schools actually cared about it.
