chances

I would really love to go to Penn State so chances of admission would help. I am an below average student for PSU but it's worth trying?

Asian female -- live in PA
GPA 3.38 (possibly a little higher) ...I screwed up really bad junior year. =/
SAT 1550/2400
2 APs Junior year
activities: key club (4 yrs + treasurer 1 yr), NAHS (2 yrs but was est. last year + hoping to become treasurer), SPIRIT (2 years but was est. last year), cheerleading (2 yrs), some community service

I'm going to the guidance office next week, but I know PSU has rolling admissions so the earlier, the better. I definitely have to get my SAT up, but would October be too late? Since it would take some time for my scores to come back... this was my original plan so I could also raise my gpa... also, my parents did not attend college (they are also immigrants if that matters), but would this give me a little push? I know PSU is 2/3 GPA and so far that is not looking good for me...

You may get into a branch campus (then you move to UP after two years.) You have to list your campus choices on the application. Obviously put UP first but try to pick one you don't mind going to for second.

Oh she should have no problem getting into branch campus. I have friends with 3.0's and 1300/2400 who got in to Berks.
