You're an international student with some diverse ECs and an upward trend in grades. Good start. Where are you trying to get into, Columbia College or the engineering school?

It will be hard to judge your chances accurately until you answer that question and provide SAT scores. Also, it would help if you clarified some of your ECs. What are "operation smile", "promuseum", and the "junior achievement club"?

sure... i will like to get into the engineering school...

promuseum is a club which donates money to local museums to help them rebuild their instalations.

operations smile :not-for-profit, volunteer medical services organization that provides reconstructive facial surgery to indigent children and young adults.

junior achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise. JA programs are taught by volunteers in class and after school at locations throughout the United States of America and in 96 countries.

seems like you don't have much "focus" in your EC, just in my opinion. what about your test scores?

what do you mean?

standardized tests, like the SAT, ACT, or IB exams.

IB exams won't count since you usually take all of them after the admissions decision is already made.

i dont think puerto ricans with us citizenship are internationals.

he'll still set off an admissions officer's sense of 'diversity' when reading his background, especially if his essay is poignant enough.

he'll also set off the 'where the heck are his SAT scores?' flag, at the rate he's going though.

i havent taken the SAT yet......here in Panama we take it as seniors..........what are my chances with what i have?

i have a minority also,
so, for a int. student essay counts more (than standarized tests)
is that what u mean
