i know it's a reach, but do i even have a shot? please let me know. i'm thinking of going into business or architecture. i'm thinking of applying ED.

i've taken a 2 honors classes freshman/sophmore year, AP american junior year (5), and my senior year course load is as follows: AP chem, AP macroecomics, AP calc ab, psyc & lit, art of film, architecture, college spanish

ECs:

please let me know what you think!

Do you have minority status going for you? I took the SAT and the ACT to see which one I fair better on. The ACT was easier to handle with a 32. I know Cornell accepts both, and the test score seems to be your weakpoint. Maybe you'd consider taking the ACT as well and it might help improve your score, just make sure it is with writing.

Good luck

i'm applying to CALS ED and am from new york, if that makes any difference. anyone else?

A lot of people from NY apply for Cornell, even though Cornell certainly accept many New Yorkers. So I don't know if being from New York will actually help you if they wanted diversity. Do you have any community service? Is your school competitive? I'd say Cornell is a reach for you. You may be able to get in with a lot of luck... but hey it's my reach too, but I'm still applying! It's always worth a shot if it's what you want :)

yeah, i have community service, and my school is super competative. and would it help if one of my letters of recommendation is from a cornell alumni?

Someone said that unless the alum is a big donor, it doesn't matter that much...
