I know my ECs aren't very good and GPA is below UCSD's average, but what do you think of my chances at getting in here are?

based on the info you gave, SD is a reach but im just going by what you gave. You'll get 2864 points for your SATs (SAT I + SAT II + SAT II * .8) and 3920 pts for GPA. That gives you 6784. 50 hours of volunteering wont get you many pts, for sure less than 100. The violin could get you a lot of points (up to 300) but you have to have done something incredible with it.

I'd say match. Most likely you're in, unless the competition rises a notch this season.

Did you have any leadership? Or any particular interest/focus?

I can pull up UCSD's point system rubric for you. Email me @ diana.seung@gmail.com if you're interested; I could forward you a copy then.

I'd say match. You're GPA is slightly lower than the average. But, you're SAT scores are good. It would've been better if you had more ECs/a leadership position.
