thanks for any help that you could give me
I live in AZ if that helps

I'd say it'd be rough for you to get in. OOS is competitive because of the in state top 10% rule, and your weighted GPA and PSAT scores seem low. Take a SAT prep course and also try to get your GPA up to around a 4.0, then you should be good.

well sopmore year i hade a gpa of 4.1 ..but frosh was around a 3.7 issshh umm im inside top 10 percent i know that..and i'm currently enrolled in a princeton review sat class..sooo lets hope for the best

Concentrate more on your class rank for UT, NOT your GPA. So many at my daughter's private Catholic school in Dallas had 4.0 ( by having a 93 average) but did not get into UT because they were not in the top 20%, much less the top 10%. Also, definitely get your SAT and/or ACT score up by taking a prep course and really studying the material. Finally, if you get your SAT score in the 2050+ range, apply to Honors programs at UT in addition to the regular application. I believe it shows your commitment. Plus the Honors programs look closely at essays and activities. Good luck!
