chances?

I have an 88 weighted gpa, 1250 SAT im hoping to do really well on my ACT to make up for my low sat/gpa, good extra curriculars, and i'm colombian so i have a minority advandage :) ha
i know that my grades are on the lower end of the scale but.... what are my chances?

Depends on many things. What do you look to major in? If it in the College of Arts and Sciences...maybe - if you're looking at Engineering....I think it would be tough to get in. You won't know unless you apply, but being Colombian will not be an advantage.

My daughter and I just visited today. Wow! What a beautiful campus. The library looked like what I imagine Hogwarts would look like. She wants to be an accounting major. I know the business school is only 25% of the student body. How tough is it to get into as a business major?

Regarding the engineering comment- I was told that if SATs were the only downfall, and if you were a female like me with great ECs and strong class/recs, then it may be easier to get into engineering because of being a minority(although not by much at lehigh!).

Good luck- I'm applying too with a 28 ACT(like 1270), 3.94 u/w, 4.5 weighted, 5/~350, lots of APs and probably 21 CC credits by graduation... female for civil engineering! This is my most reachy school but I still hope I get in because I really like it!

Have you visited?

dcmom - sorry I can't really help since I am a freshman engineering student. I don't know anything about the business major.

anovice - your stats are similar to mine and being female can't hurt when applying for engineering. good luck

If you have any questions, please direct them at me, not Hill. He has no idea what he is talking about. No matter what school (engineering, business, or arts and science) you apply for, that doesn't change your chances of getting admitted. Everyone, regardless of their major, have the same opportunity of being accepted into Lehigh. Also, I saw a post about being Colombian. If you are Colombian, you are considered a minority and will have a better chance of getting accepted given that you have the credentials. I say this because Lehigh is always looking for diversity and admitting people from all over the world is a great start.

Anovice,

It seems like you have great credentials which Lehigh looks for. However, what does you extra-curricular schedule look like. Lehigh looks for well-rounded people to continue the tradition here at Lehigh
